Duration of the Course: 2 Years –Semester Scheme spanning four semesters
Eligibility: Any graduate with minimum 45% of marks (40% for SC/ST and Cat I)

The Institute offers a 2 Years Post-graduate Programme in Social Work (M.S.W.) in three specializations:
1.Human Resource Development (Human Resource and Industrial Relations):
Students are trained Theoretically in the areas of Human Resource Management, Counseling, Labour Laws and Industrial Relations and Practical Exposure is given by the two days HR Practicum weekly in Industries, Workshops, Industrial Tours etc. which offers career opportunities of HR Executives, HR Consultants, Labour Welfare Officers or Public Relation Officers in Factories, Mines, Plantations, Hospitals, Institutions, IT Industries etc.
2.Medical and Psychiatric Social Work:
Students are trained in the areas of Counseling, Behavioral Disorders, Mental Health, Child and Adolescent Welfare and Health and practically exposed to Weekly two days Hospital Training, Workshops, Seminars and Hospital Study Tours which offers career opportunities in the Medical and Psychiatric set up like Hospitals, Clinics, Mental Health Institutions, Information Technology, Schools, De Addiciton Centers, Counseling Centers and to work as liaison between the Doctor and the Client in the Hospitals.
3. Community Development
Students are trained in the field of Community Developments, Slum Development, Education for Development, Urban and Social Developments, Project Planning and Management theoretically and Practically exposed to the community realities by engaging in the Community Development Works by amalgamation with the Prominent NGOs working in Mangalore . Which offers them career opportunities to work as personnel in the Government Departments (Panchayats, Social Welfare Departments and NGOs.), to start NGOs, Project Managers and Coordinators in National and International Funding Organizations.
