Shri A. RAGHAVENDRA RAO was born in Benagal, Pejamangore Village , Udupi Taluk. on 16 th October, 1937 . Son of A. Shama Rao, Retd. Headmaster, BEM Higher Secondary Composite School , Carstreet & Mother A. Indiramma.
Did his Education at Elementary in SVS Elementary School , Innanje and High school in SVH High School , Innanje. 2 years. intermediate at MGM College , Udupi. 2 years . B.Com Degree with Insurance Specialisation from MGM College , Udupi. Did his Professional Qualification Articleship of Chartered Accountancy course under Sri A. Umanath Rao, C.A. , Mangalore. Member of Institute of C.A of India in 1965 & Fellow of ICAI in 1970.
Now a leading Chartered Accountant at Felix Pai Bazar, Mangalore in March 1966. Senior Partner of M/s. A. Raghavendra Rao, Chartered Accountants, Mangalore having Branches at 7 other cities. Member of the Southern Indian Regional Council of Chartered Accountants of India, Madras for the period of 1979-83. Chairman of the Southern Indian Regional Council of Institute of C A Students Association, Madras 1980-81. Secretary of SIRC, Madras in 1982-83. Leading consultant & Auditor for Finance, Trading Commercial & Industrial concerns. |

* Member of the Karnataka Telephone Advisory Committee, Bangalore representing Trade, Commerce and Industry in 1985-87
* Member of Customs Advisory Committee for the Karnataka Customs Collectorate for the year 1987.
* Working President of Besant Women's National Education Society in 1987-88.
* Received District Level Rajyotsava Award of Govt. of Karnataka on the 1st November, 04 for 2004-05.
