Vijayalakshmi Institute of Physiotherapy, under the management of Vijayalakshmi Education Trust (R). The Institute was established in the year 2004.
It is affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences (Karnataka), Bangalore.
The College is housed in a massive campus with exhaustive physical infrastructure. |

Bachelor of Physiotherapy (B.P.T.)
Eligibility:
Candidates who have passed Pre- University Examination with Physics, Chemistry and Biology as optional subjects or equivalent examination with 45% marks.
Duration of the Course:
Four and a Half years including internship of six months. |

1.Pre-clinical Departments like Anatomy, Physiology, Biochemistry, & Microbiology are well equipped with all its necessities.
2. Department of Electrotherapy, Department of Exercise therapy are equipped with state of art modern equipments to provide clinical teaching that is well blended with out patient clinical services.
3.Neuro Rehabilitation & Paediatric unit: Equipped with Sensory Integration Kit, Sensory integration evaluation kit, Vestibular Rehabilitation unit, Development Screening test, Peg Board, infant devices, Physioball.
4. Orthopedic Rehabilitation Unit: Equipped with Biomechanical Ankle Platform system, Continuous Passive Movement Devices.
5. Cardio Pulmonary Rehabilitation: Equipped with Spirometer, Automatic Heart rate & BP Analyzer, E.C.G unit.
6. Orthothic & Prosthetic Unit: Equipped with All kinds of Upper limb, Lower limb and Spinal Orthoses.
The Institution has a Central Library with a collection of around thousand books & an Annual Subscription of 10 international Journals. |
